LGH is seeking a hybrid 32-hour/week Engagement Manager to join our team. Reporting to the VP & Chief Program Officer, the Engagement Manager is responsible for identifying and recruiting candidates for the LGH’s community leadership programs, and for managing the Leaders on Board program. The successful candidate will be goals and results-oriented, with a strong ability to build relationships with new businesses and new audiences. This is a part-time, non-exempt position, working primarily in LGH’s office in Hartford (and remotely when warranted). Annual compensation range is $41-$50K, based on experience, with generous benefits including paid time off, health, dental, and retirement benefits.

Recruitment Responsibilities Include:

• Development and execution of LGH’s targeted recruitment strategy for four community leadership programs (Quest, Executive Orientation, Leaders on Board, Third Age Initiative).
• Accountability for quantitative and qualitative (diversity of race, geography, etc.) goals connected to class composition.
• Collaborative development of partnerships and outreach with community organizations and groups that expand LGH’s reach.
  • Attend community events to expand LGH’s visibility and client base.
• Fostering positive relationships with our customers as their primary point of contact.
• Collaborative management of LGH’s NeonCRM database and ownership of all recruitment tracking systems.
• Creative partnerships with the marketing and leadership development team on communications materials.

Leaders on Board (LOB) Program Responsibilities Include:

• Planning and execution of LOB workshops, express matches, meetings, and special events.  Includes coordinating technical, logistical, financial, and/or catering needs.
• Maintaining records for both individual participants and organizations in NeonCRM.
• Recruitment of individuals and organizations for workshops and express matches.
• Preparation and distribution of regular correspondence to both individuals and partner organizations, including post-express match communications and/or individual referrals.
• Organization of all paperwork for individuals and organizations.
• Tracking the attendance of both individuals and organizations for all events.
• Oversee LOB administrative duties such as data compilation, mailings, mass emails, program brochures, printing, etc.
• Use NeonCRM to run reports on active program participants, collate and report on program data and results, and oversee annual evaluation efforts.
• Other activities that support the organization as required.

Compensation is $25-$30/hour (commensurate with experience) for 32 hours/week and includes a comprehensive and generous benefits package while working alongside a passionate and dynamic team.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) with a preferred focus in sales, marketing, communications or a related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years professional experience.
• Superior written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills with demonstrated ability to sell, influence, negotiate, and exceed established goals.
• Energetic, enthusiastic, and self-motivated.
• Productive in a collaborative, fast-paced team environment but with the added ability to work independently.
• Proven ability to advance multiple projects simultaneously with high attention to detail and advanced organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required; experience using NeonCRM or other CRM platforms is preferred.
• Knowledge of and enthusiasm for Greater Hartford’s business community and the mission of  LGH.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

• Working conditions are normal for an office environment. As of January 2024, LGH staff observe a hybrid work schedule, working in the office on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Employees can choose to work remotely or in-office for all other work hours.
• Must be able to operate a computer for most of the workday with appropriate rest periods.
• Availability to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
• Valid driver’s license and driving record which meets Company insurance carrier requirements, or ability to travel to program and meeting sites in the Greater Hartford area as needed by other means.
