Company Overview

The Governor’s Prevention Partnership is a public-private partnership formed in 1989. It is a unique alliance between state government and business leaders. It is co-chaired by the Governor of the State of CT & a major business leader. Its board is composed of corporate, government & community leaders. Today it is the only statewide organization focused exclusively on prevention and is among the state’s largest organizations dedicated to preventing alcohol and drug use among youth, and combating violence in schools.

Our mission: With a focus on Connecticut’s youth, The Governor's Prevention Partnership is a statewide public-private alliance, building a strong, healthy future workforce through leadership in mentoring and prevention of violence, underage drinking, alcohol and drug abuse.

Our mission is accomplished by strengthening communities, families & youth organizations to develop & sustain youth development/prevention programs.
